Dalebilly
The band first got together in 2006 as a scratch band to support the main American act at the Yorkshire Dales Bluegrass Festival, and the name kind of stuck. The current band consists of four of the original members, on mandolin Richard Collins, and Claire Collins keeps it all in time on Bass. Lead guitar is in the capable hands of Neil Garratt, and on rhythm guitar and dobro Kevin Garratt, the newest member to the band is Richard Holland on banjo. With three good singers in the quintet, and many years notched up playing in various other bands listen out for some tight harmonies. |

The New Essex Bluegrass Band
Britain's most traditional bluegrass band, drawing on the works of Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and the Stanley Brothers for inspiration. Led by Paul Brewer, they are regulars at all the major festivals and have firmly established themselves as one of the most popular bands both here in the UK and in Europe.
The band this year are missing one regular band member - much to his disappointment he has a family wedding - but, never mind, the rest of the band will be giving some of the workshops and leading the Sunday Morning Gospel Session.

Brick Lane Boogie Boys
The BLBB were formed in the summer of 1998, after an impromptu session between Big John Carter and Charlie Wilson. Soon after they brought in Micky Carrol on 5 String Banjo. They were a quirky trio playing a mixture of Boogie Woogie, Ragtime and Bluegrass, and did there first gig in the Prince of Wales pub in Stoke Newington. After six months or so as a trio, they called on Double Bass player Eddie Edwards, to complete the ensemble. They then began to forge the unique sound and style they are now known for nationwide. This incarnation of the group lasted for about three years before disbanding.
In 2003 Charlie and John decided to reform the group, so Charlie brought in long time music collaborator Gerry Collins on Lead Guitar. In 2004 the BLBB were invited on a tour of the UK with Bill Haley's original Comets, playing mainly theatres and ball rooms. Since then the group has been performing regularly in and around London and England, Playing many festivals and theatres, including The Hackney Empire, Wiltons Music Hall, The Americana Festival, Walthamstow Festival, Brighton Festival, The Rock'n'Roll Cinema, Wildest Cats in Town Weekender, The Rhythm Riot Weekender, The Goodwood Revival Meeting, Bricklane Festival and many other festivals and and theatres way to numerous to mention,. The boys are no strangers to live Radio, having played five sessions for the BBC and numerous co-op and independent radio stations. And they're still going strong!

High Weald Ridge
High Weald Ridge are all from the high weald of Kent, and play Bluegrass music from the 30’s to the present, including a few original self-penned numbers. The addition of a baritone ukulele and a banjolele on some songs adds to the original sound of the band who will stop at nothing to achieve their own unique and distinctive blend of instrumentation and harmonizing. Each member brings something to the band, jazz, old timey, western swing and country all play their part in giving the band a sound all of it’s own, high and lonesome, but is very definetly bluegrass - with overdrive.

The Kentucky Cow Tippers
A great youg band from Gateshead and this is what they said:- What happens when you're 19, bored and a King of the Hill episode featuring Charlie Daniels is on the box? I tell ya, this is what happens, The Kentucky Cow Tippers are born, and boy have we started something special! Inspired by the same music as our elders, we can't get enough of that old-time pickin' and the best thing about it is that we're only young, meaning we can carry on pickin' for a long time.
